WALTHAM, Mass. - June 24, 2020 - PRLog -- connectRN (https://connectrn.com/), provider of the nurse-centric mobile staffing solution for per diem health care, promoted Maddie Thoms (https://www.linkedin.com/in/maddie-thoms-99963525/) to Chief Product Officer amidst rapid company growth. Maddie joined the company more than a year ago as Senior Director of Operations and was promoted to Head of Product in October 2019. She is now leading the company's product, operations, and marketing teams, enabling nurses to work on their terms through its easy to use app.

"More than technology, our product is the full experience we deliver to nurses and the community they build together," said Matt Levesque (https://www.linkedin.com/in/matthewlevesque/), CEO of connectRN. "Maddie covers a cross-functional domain to deliver a truly differentiated path for nurses. We see the context of nurses and build solutions that serve them holistically."

Maddie previously led strategic initiatives for doctors and health care providers at athenahealth. She has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Boston College and a master's degree in business administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – Sloan School of Management.

"Nurses and nursing assistants are the backbone of the health care industry," said Maddie Thoms. "While they give so much to their patients, they have been long underserved by the system. At connectRN, we're defining a new path that supports these caregivers now and throughout their career. I am inspired to break down hurdles that come in the way of these nurses, whether the challenges are logistical, emotional, or financial. We're here for them."

connectRN offers numerous benefits to its community of nurses, including competitive pay and bonuses, training and education, loyalty programs, private online communities, and discounts. The company recently added medical benefits for eligible clinicians as well as a clinician mentorship program.

Last month, connectRN announced (https://connectrn.com/blog/connectrn-announces-new-benefi...) partnering with Capella University (http://www.capella.com/connectrn) to provide online, flexible degree programs with scholarships and discounts. The Capella University agreement offers connectRN clinicians $6,000 scholarships for Capella's structured degree program or 50% off the first session of their flexible learning format. Additional financial support offers up to $2,500 in scholarship and tuition reimbursement from connectRN is also available for members.

connectRN supports essential health care workers during a crisis with hazard pay. At the start of the COVID-19 crisis, the company worked toward a global implementation of hazard pay across its clinician communities. Its clinicians are earning one and a half to two times their standard pay rates for increased personal risk.
